Allied health professions refer to the clinical healthcare profession that are distinct from nursing or medicine. Allied professional work with the doctors or nurses in order to make the healthcare system functional. Like the other members of the team, allied health professionals should be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, as well as attitude necessary in the field. Some of the allied health profession are regulated although the rules vary from one country to another. Some of the allied health professions include athletic training, biomedical science, cardiovascular technologists, medical assistants, exercise physiology, paramedic, medical laboratory technicians, and many others.
