Children’s Health
A child’s body is constantly growing and developing until he or she reaches adulthood wherein almost all structures of the body system have reached its full maturity. When the child is growing, many changes that involve the physical, mental, emotional, social and psychological aspects of the child happen in a fast mode. Understanding children’s health will help the child and the parent understand the significant phases of the child’s growth. During this crucial period, common illnesses and diseases may happen; and even if these occur commonly, some of these medical conditions, if left untreated, could be serious and detrimental to the child’s health. There are unique issues that concern children’s health and these include: vaccination, common diseases of every age group, nutrition and fitness, first aid, emotional behaviour and parent involvement issues. By learning these concerns, a child can benefit a healthier lifestyle and an overall sense of well-being.
