Health Care

Under the niche covered by Health Care falls these two categories: the Palliative Care and the Patient Empowerment. Though Health Care would mean lots of other things too, our main focus is on those two factors in promoting health in either certain individuals or to a bigger group of people.

Palliative caretakers

On the first hand, Palliative Care serves to promote the quality of life of patients who are suffering from different kind of illness. The idea is to help the patients lessen their suffering by making them feel comfortable as much as can possibly be. The Care Program is designed and directed to the goal of delaying, if not reversing, the progression of the illness. But the primary aim is to pave the way to provide a cure. Moreover, Palliative Care embraces the whole person of the patient or patients that includes his or her physical, emotional and spiritual aspects.

Palliative care comprises of dedicated individuals who work together as a team. They are the following:

  1. Palliative care physicians
  2. Specialists or general practitioners
  3. Nurses
  4. Nursing assistants or home health aides
  5. Social workers
  6. Chaplains, Nuns and other Religious groups
  7. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists

On the other hand, Patient Empowerment means providing necessary means for the patient (or patients) so as he or she can understand his or her physical condition and act accordingly, which aims to recovery and cure. Simply put, this concept is directed to the concept of patient’s personal involvement towards her or his recovery from any disease or illness.
