Laboratories
Dental laboratories are rooms where the dentist or auxiliaries perform technical procedures related to dental treatment. However, these dental procedures are not done directly in the patient’s mouth. Some of these procedures include the making of dental fillings and other tooth restorations made of amalgam, gold, or other metals. Further, other dental works that can be made in laboratories include porcelain or composite materials that more closely mimic the appearance of natural tooth structure. In addition, these tooth materials are bonded in the laboratories using resin adhesives. Lastly, like other laboratories, dental laboratories contain equipment necessary for dental procedures and treatment.
