Panic Disorder
A psychological condition manifested by recurrence of panic attacks in combination with significant behavioural changes lasting at least a month refers to panic disorder. Individuals suffering from panic disorder experience a series of intense episodes of extreme anxiety during panic attacks–typically lasting about ten minutes, but can be short-lived in 1–5 minutes and last in twenty minutes or until medical intervention. Some symptoms associated with panic over the duration include dyspnoea, rapid heartbeat, hyperventilation, perspiration, dizziness, psychological experience of uncontrolled fear, etc. Lastly, the duration and frequency of panic attacks differ from one person to another as some individuals experience these attacks on a regular basis; sometimes daily or weekly.
