PCOS
An endocrine disorder affecting about 5 percent of women of all races and nationalities and the most common form of hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age and the leading cause of infertility is called polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS. Furthermore, diabetes, obesity, insulin resistance are pointed out to predispose the condition, however, causes of PCOS are unknown. Weight problems, irregular ovulation or menstruation, and excessive amount of androgenic or masculinising hormones are considered as the principal features of PCOS.
