Primary Care
Primary care is a term used for the activity of health care providers. Moreover, these health care providers function as first point of consultation for all patients and the key characteristic of primary care is the continuity of the care given. As an important form of health access for patients, primary care has the widest scope of health care which includes individuals in all ages, socioeconomic and geographic origins, or patients seeking to maintain optimal health, and patients with multiple chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, depression, back pain, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD.
